New 2013 Ford S-Max Concept revealed

Ford will debut a new S-Max Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. As the name suggests, this previews a future replacement for the current S-Max ‘sports activity vehicle’ – the people carrier that does everything it can to avoid having you feel like you’re driving a people carrier… We’ve been given a sneak peak of the new MPV at a special pre-Frankfurt event in Dusseldorf – and if the thought of a sporty new S-Max gets your heart racing, don’t worry: this concept comes with an app for that. Mercedes AMG C 63 price & specs – costs from £59,795 The pinnacle of the new Mercedes C-Class range – the Mercedes-AMG C 63 – had a reveal last month ahead of its public debut in Paris (and got a new name, with ‘AMG’ hyphenated with Mercedes and in front of the ‘C 63′ bit instead of after) and it’s now gone on sale priced from £59,795 for the C 63 Saloon to £67,745 for the C 63 S Estate. Power comes from a new 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 developing 469bhp in the C 63 and a more potent 503bhp in the C 63 S, with 0-62mph times of 4.1 seconds for the C 63 (0.1 slower in the estate) and a modest 0.1 quicker in the C 63 S. Not surprisingly, the C63 gets a more than adequate spec including Nappa Leather AMG sports seats, COMAND, mechanical locking rear diff, dynamic engine mounts, unique tracks front and back, upgraded AMG brakes, quad tailpipes, new front wings to cover the wider track, rear spoiler and 18″ alloys.

Hyundai HB20 & HB20X debut in Brazil

Hyundai has debuted the HB20 hatchback and HB20X Crossover at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. The Hyundai HB20 – which shares its basic underpinnings with Europe’s i20 – has, say Hyundai, been developed exclusively for the Brazilian market and comes in a choice of nine trim levels and with a choice of a 1.0 litre and 1.6 litre flex fuel engines with a five-speed manual, or an auto option on the 1.6 litre. Changes to the Brazilian HB20 (HB stands for ‘Hyundai Brazil’) include specific setup for Brazilian roads (which can be even worse than ours), cosmetic tweaks to the exterior and a different interior.
