Had a few of these sets of these made up as I was tired of the rusty flimsy chains on my m715s.  The are galvanized, and hooks are thicker than normal. These hooks are larger than stock and depending on how worn your holes are, you may have to open them up slightly. I had to open one of the m715 beds up with a few passes of a chain saw file on the bed side slightly but not on the tailgate side. The other m715 bed required no mods.  The larger size allows you to tighten up the tailgate fit significantly.   The Chains are attached with a screw type connecting link which also allows you to adjust the length easily.

this is what you get

two connecting links (screw type) Galvanized
Two chains (about two feet long each) with hooks (7/16 inch diameter) attached  and Galvanized. they are 1/4 inch chain, with 1/4 inch galvanized links.  This gives you more than enough length, I only used about 2/3 of it in the photo for the m715.
two rubber sleeves to protect your paint, long so you can cut to your desirable length.

With mods these chains can be made to fit the thrift side and step side Jeep truck beds and the early fleet side non step side with the early tailgate as well, like the j10, j200, j2000, j3000, j300, j4000. See my other auctions for the smaller jtruck chains which are easier to install.  Of course will fit the many Chevy, Ford, Military, Willys and Dodge trucks with some modification.

good luck, and thanks for looking

Volkswagen to buy Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Italdesign?

Thu, 20 May 2010

The Morris Ital - one of Morris Ital by Giorgetto Giugiaro's greatest (sort of) It’s probably a fair bet – or at least was and has been for some time – that Volkswagen would be in the frame to buy an motoring asset that comes on the market. Especially if that asset is in trouble and an iconic name can be grabbed for a song – or less. Which explains why the names of VW and Giugiaro’s Italdesign are being linked together as the Italian designer appears to seek a car maker to rescue it from the woes of being an independent in these rather troubled times.

Rockin' Supercar: The Rebirth, Short Life, and Death of a Shark-Fin-Equipped '85 Toyota Tercel Wagon

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

Sometimes a very ordinary car becomes something special, maybe even loved, but that's not always enough to keep it out of the jaws of the crusher. This is the story of a second-gen Toyota Tercel wagon (known in Japan as the Sprinter Carib) and its journey from auction to lumber-hauler to kid transportation to a Chinese steel factory. Around the turn of the century, while I was working at a doomed dot-com in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood, I discovered that the city auctioned off all the unclaimed tow-away cars every week at nearby Pier 70.

Consumer Reports: No to Chevrolet SUV, Ford crossovers, MyFord Touch

Tue, 04 Jan 2011

Consumer Reports said Monday it will not recommend the Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers because of low scores in the magazine's tests, and panned Ford Motor Co.'s MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch technology. The magazine also said it will not recommend the Infiniti QX56, a V8 version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Porsche Cayenne. Those SUVs performed well in testing but were too new for the magazine to have adequate reliability data to recommend, it said.
