Volvo halts production of Electric cars & question EU’s CO2 & EV targets

Just as many other car makers are doing, Volvo has had a small fleet of electric test cars plodding round the roads to see what they’reĀ capableĀ of in the real world, in Volvo’s case a fleet of electric C30s. But Volvo has decided that a production version of the C30 EV is a futile project and has revealed they will not be making a production version.
Land Rover builds 1,000,000th Discovery
Wed, 29 Feb 2012The 1,000,000th Land Rover Discovery has rolled off the line at the company's Solihull plant in West Midlands in the United Kingdom. To celebrate the milestone, Land Rover is sending the SUV on an 8,000-mile, 13-country “Journey of Discovery” from Birmingham to Beijing for the motor show on April 23. The company did the same thing in 1955 when the first Series 1 rolled off the line.
