Mitsubishi weighs a 'different direction' for the Lancer Evolution

The current generation of Mitsubishi Motors Corp.'s Lancer Evolution high-performance sedan appears be its last as the automaker works to refashion itself as a leader in electrified vehicles. Mitsubishi is considering a "different direction" for its rally-inspired, all-wheel-drive sport sedan as it prepares to launch eight electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles globally by 2015. The plan is fueled in part by a need to meet tougher global fuel economy and emissions regulations.

Citroen are teasing what appears to be a DS SUV ahead of the Shanghai Motor Show later in April – the Citroen Wild Rubis Concept. With French car makers suffering from a downturn in sales in recent years, one beacon of light has been the success of the resurrected DS badge to adorn a range of more upmarket Citroens. From initial scepticism when Citroen revealed their plans to re-badge and titivate mainstream Citroens with some DS history, we were won over by the brilliant DS3 which managed to turn the rather beige C3 in to a properly appealing – and properly fun – sporty hatch.

The extreme, Porsche Cayenne based, Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS Gemballa has produced some pretty extreme versions of Porsche cars over the years. And this latest version of the Gemballa Tornado – the Tornado 750 GTS – is up there with the most extreme. It not only looks like something from a sci-fi movie, it performs like one.
