Volvo Polestar Racing will enter one of the world’s biggest touring car categories with a pair of V8-powered S60s, joining Nissan, Mercedes, Holden and Ford (which is rumoured as potentially departing the series). UK new car registrations beat 2012 total – a month early

New car registrations rose by 7% last month, the best performance in almost a decade – and a rise that has seen the total registrations for 2012 already beaten with a month still to go. 159,581 new cars were registered last month, taking the year to date total up to 2,111,819. This easily tops the 2,044,609 new cars registered in 2012.

Red Bull’s 2010 Christmas Card Over the last couple of years we’ve featured Bernie Ecclestone’s Christmas Cards as our Christmas Day greeting to readers, as they’ve been by far the most amusing to come our way. In 2008 we saw Bernie’s Christmas card feature a mickey-take of Max Mosley and his extra cirruclar activities amongst the more ‘forceful’ working girls in London town. We followed that up in 2009 with Bernie’s Christmas card once again, this time featuring a mickey-take of his sometime business partner Flavio Briatore as a pirate.
