Public supports 20mph urban speed limits
Wed, 02 Apr 201478% of people think 20mph speed limits should be introduced as the norm in residential areas, around schools and in town centres, according to road safety charity Brake. It comes as the charity introduces its GO 20 campaign, calling on politicians to support changing the default urban speed limit to 20mph. We reported earlier on the VW Golf GTI Worthersee Concept car, and this afternoon early information and pictures have surfaced of the next Golf release – the new VW Golf Estate. Planned to be released at the end of the year, the new Golf Estate gets the same front end treatment as the new hatchback.
Classic Lotus Cortina owner wins £5,000 fund

Pete Shaw was awarded the prize by Footman James classic car insurance at last month’s Classic Motor Show. His beloved 1966 Mk1 Airflow Lotus Cortina had been entered into the competition with much-needed work on the cards.
