Joe Gibbs Driven assembly grease is used by Joe Gibbs Racing during the assembly of every engine. It provides proven extreme-pressure protection for heavily loaded parts during initial break-in. The unique formula completely dissolves in oil. Joe Gibbs Driven assembly grease can be used to prelube cams and lifters, and applying it to the piston ring land prevents micro welding during initial engine break-in. It can also be used on wrist pins, distributor gears, pushrods, and valve retainers.

    Electric Porsche Boxster being developed

    Mon, 26 Jul 2010

Porsche are developing and electric Porsche Boxster It’s not exactly a surprise that Porsche has announced its intention to develop an electric roadster based on the Porsche Boxster, after all – as part of VW – they have access to an awful lot of technology and they’d be foolish to let car makers like Tesla or Fisker potentially steal some future Porsche glory. So starting early next year – as part of a programme Porsche call Modellregion Elektromobilität – three electric Boxsters will be out and about with their electric powertrains in the real world to give Porsche feedback. Porsche are making it absolutely clear that this rolling lab for an electric Boxster is entirely complimentary to – and in no way undermines – their hybrid programme, which includes the Panamera and Cayenne Hybrid and the Hybrid Hypercar that should soon become the production Porsche 918 Spyder.

    Nissan developing the self-cleaning car

    Fri, 25 Apr 2014

Motorists may never need to wash their cars again, as Nissan is helping to develop paint that repels mud, rain and dirt. The technology, which Nissan tells us is “super-hyrophobic and oleophobic”, creates a protective layer of air between the paint and the environment, preventing dirt sticking to the car. Nissan Nissan Note already uses self-cleaning technology Called Ultra-Ever Dry, the tech is currently being tested on the Nissan Note, which already features a ‘wash and blow dry’ function on its rear view camera.
