Porsche to build 918 Spyder
Mon, 21 Mar 2011Porsche today announced that it will build the 918 Spyder, a road legal version of the 718bhp hybrid sports car that made its debut at the Geneva motor show last year. The company says the hybrid sports car will be limited to just 918 examples and be offered in left-hand drive only in order to ensure exclusivity of the new model. Based on a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic monocoque, the 918 Spyder's design DNA is derived from the Carrera GT and Porsche 917 race car as well as the RS Spyder.

He starts his new job on Monday, January 12. Mercedes-Benz has made a few changes to its design team since taking over the Carlsbad facility from Chrysler last year, notably the retirement of Prof.
Opel to shed upscale pricing in effort to win back core customer
Thu, 21 Jun 2012Opel/Vauxhall is reversing its upscale pricing strategy and will make its cars more affordable to win back buyers, CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke said. "We need to regain our traditional customer base," Stracke told the Automotive News Europe Congress in Monte Carlo on Thursday. "We moved Opel up too quickly.
