This jacket was purchased and used only a handful of times by a Harley rider.  It is a great fitting jacket with a removable liner and six vents, allowing it to be worn on all but the hottest days.  I wore it briefly during a cold winter several years ago and it was comfortable down to the point that snow was coming down and it was time to put the bike up.  The size is 42, leather is all in great shape and very soft, and elastic straps on the sleeves with leather/velcro straps on the waist allow it to be snugged to the rider.  Snaps and zippers on the sleeve also allow it to be fit to you and it is motionless on the road.  The pads are included and were never worn.  The photo where the piping on back is bright is a photo taken using the flash.  If I recall, initial price on this jacket was upwards of $350.  Having worn it only a few times, I can guarantee you will be very happy with your purchase!  Though I promise a 2 day shipping time, depending on time of payment I do all that I can to get shipments out immediately, especially as the riding season is here.

Peter Stevens and Julian Thomson lead a discussion on the past, present and future of car design

Fri, 24 May 2013

As part of its sponsorship of London's Clerkenwell Design Week, Jaguar and the Royal College of Art brought together three generations of the design school to discuss the past, present and possible future of car design. Held in a suitably grimy warehouse in east London – with the sculpture by RCA students Ewan Gallimore and Claire Mille's we showed you earlier this week sat outside – Professor Dale Harrow, dean of the School of Design and head of its Vehicle Design program introduced Professor Peter Stevens, Julian Thomson, Jaguar's advanced design director and Alexandra Palmowski project designer advanced colour and material at Jaguar took the audience through their careers. Charismatic as ever, Peter Stevens kicked off proceedings that moved chronologically through the decades by explaining how he first became interested in "the art if car design, allied to the science of how they work" through his artistic parents and uncle – journalist and motoring adventurer – Denis Jenkinson during the 1950s and 60s.

Rare Ferraris head to Pebble Beach Show

Tue, 07 Jul 2009

Two collections of eye-catching and rare Ferraris will be reunited in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Monterey event will play host to 10 1949 166 MM Touring Barchettas and the only four TR 59 race cars believed to be in existence. The significance of the 166 MM Touring Barchetta--like that of many Ferraris--is twofold.

Dacia Duster is Scottish Car of the Year 2012

Sat, 13 Oct 2012

The Dacia Duster SUV has garnered its first award in the UK – before it even hits showrooms – winning the Scottish Car of the Year 2012. Top car awards should be for cars that are available for buyers to walk in and grab from their local dealer, and they must bring something that’s not just new, but better too. We’re not sure where that leaves the winner of the 2012 Scottish Car of the Year – the Dacia Duster – as it’s hardly a ground-breaking car and it’s not on sale yet.
