'Pressure growing' on UK's roads

PRESSURE is growing on England's major road network in "this very cramped and busy island", the Highways Agency boss has told MPs. The network has not changed much in the last 20 years, the agency's chief executive Graham Dalton told the House of Commons Transport Committee. As well as 1208 911s, Porsche and the organisers of the Silverstone Classic managed to entice a number of names along too, including Mark Porsche – great grandson of Porsche founder, Ferdinand Porsche – former F1 and Le Mans driver Derek Bell and Le Mans drivers John Fitzpatrick and Richard Attwood.
