Johnson 35 Seahorse Outboard Motor 1957 All Original Dual Hose Pressure Gas Can on 2040-parts.com
Portland, Oregon, United States
1957 Johnson 35 Seahorse really nice Outboard Motor. Beautiful stylish design. Must have for a vintage antique restoration.
All original engine with dual hose Johnson pressure gas can, 6 gal (included) As I said, it is Original, which in some ways is better than restored. I found this stored inside and was told it had about 20 hours, (Yes I was skeptical), but after looking it over I believe it. There is little to no signs of wear. The paint did have a couple of chips/flakes; tried to touch up a couple of scratches / flaking paint. I did replace the coils as they get brittle and fall apart. I also replaced the water pump impeller. the rest of the pump was clean and no wear. I changed the original Champion spark plugs. It is a pull start, but I have a starter and flywheel for electric start conversion. (which I will sell seperately) I am willing to ship but buyer needs to arrange and insure properly. Buyer will be responsible for shipping arrangements and fees. I can box it and wrap it in foam and/or strap it to a pallet for $100 packaging fee (extra $). Shipping estimate ... probably about 150-200 lbs. UPS website says they can ship up to 150 lbs. (may be able to box it and stay under.... lbs..?) Motor is listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. ***shipping notice: I will need your shipping details prior final auction to prepare. I have a video of it running. I will try to find a way to post it or you can request via other email. |

Toyota Prius Plug-In is practically perfect in London
Tue, 26 Jul 2011Toyota Prius Plug-in - perfect London transport We though we ought to do Toyota the courtesy of a non-disparaging headline after the first interim results of trials of the Prius Plug-in in the hands of drivers in London have turned out to be very positive. Toyota and EDF Energy have supplied – on lease – 20 plug-in hybrids (PHEV) to London businesses and organisations (no Joe Public on this trial) to get some real-world feedback on usage, journey distance and recharging patterns. For those of you who don’t remember, the Toyota Prius Plug-in is a regular 3rd Gen Prius but with a length of flex and a set of lithium-ion batteries that allows users to grab some charge from the mains and to drive further in EV mode – up to 12.5 miles in perfect conditions.
Pagani Huayra: Look out for the options!
Mon, 11 Apr 2011Pagani Huayra - look out for the options list We managed to have a bit of a Pagani Huayra fest a month or two back as Pagani’s replacement for the Zonda hit the headlines. Universal praise for its styling wasn’t the immediate reaction, but it is a bit of a grower – apart from perhaps the Monkfish mouth. But now comes the real world for Pagani as they start to market the Huayra in earnest.
Citroën invites design ideas via Facebook
Wed, 04 Apr 2012Citroën has launched a Facebook app calling for users to select design features for what it calls a special edition car, the first crowdsourced car in the UK. Rather than the genuinely design-led competitions we've seen recently from Renault (Twizy) and Citroën's own DS3, ‘You Like It, We Make It', offers six configurations such as exterior and interior color scheme, technology options like Bluetooth and SatNav, alloys, and the number of doors the vehicle has. The Citroeën C1 Connexion special edition will be kitted out with the most popular ideas and those participating via the app will be in with a chance of winning the car when it goes on sale later in the year.
