                                                                           Easy Timer

This Easy Timer allows you to set the ignition timing on motors equipped with the OMC optical (OIS2000) ignition system, Faststrike and Intruder 60 degree V4 and V6 motors. Timing can be set accurately without running the motor (as detailed in the OMC service manual) and is the recommended way of setting the timing for these motors. This EasyTimer can be used for setting the idle and maximum timing. The Easy Timer is simply plugged into the outboards opitical sensor connector and the 12 volt red lead is connected to the positive cable and the black negative lead is connected to a good motor ground. As the crankshaft is rotated by hand the Cyl and Sync LED's will flash on and off, the timing is set as described in the enclosed sync and link adjustment pages. A complete set of instructions and illustrations are included and the 5 pages of instructions, printed from the OMC service manual, every thing you need to know to set the timing and sync the timing and carbs.

This is a very good quality timing tool, built by a retired, OMC certified, Evinrude service tech. It is reverse polarity protected and fused. Each unit is bench tested and will work.   I have it listed as no returns, however I include a 90 day replacement warranty, buyer pays return shipping. I would be happy to answer any questions, at any time, regarding the use of this timer.

The trend seems to be gaining popularity, seeing as Ford Motor Co.

Citroen's Survolt charges into life at Le Mans Classic

Tue, 13 Jul 2010

French cars, Belgian drivers and a French track sounds like a recipe for Gallic flair (well, almost). And so it proved at the weekend when Vanina Ickx, daughter of six-time winner at Le Mans, lapped the track in the new Citroen Survolt concept car. Also lapping the French track at the 2010 Le Mans Classic was the GTbyCITROEN concept car, alongside a brace of DS3s.
