Up for grabs, I have a lower unit removed from a 1985 70 HP Evinrude outboard. The motor was used in freshwater only. The powerhead threw a rod through the block and is being parted out. I was told everything was working fine before the powerhead went. The lower unit was already off this motor when I acquired it. I checked the gear oil and it was completely empty/drained. I did bench test it and it did shift into all gears. The condition of the seals is unknown. Being empty, I was unable to check for water in the gear oil. Due to this, I am selling AS IS.
