Like him or loath him, the former BMW design director is one of the most famous car designers of our times, recognised for shaking the established status quo with his ‘flame surfacing’ and his radical take on car design.  Then in March 2009, after 16 solid years, Bangle announced his retirement from the Bavarian brand and – seemingly – car design.

Infiniti G37 Coupe

The New York Auto show, rapidly gaining respect from automotive manufacturers around the world, will be the stage for the release of the all-new 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe, the second generation of the G-series coupe. The overall styling of the G37 faithfully follows Infiniti's 'Vibrant Expression' design identity, shown first by the G sedan. Chrysler vows to rebuild SRT

Ralph Gilles promises that Chrysler Group will be "very choosy" about the cars and trucks that get the SRT performance badge. Gilles, recently named head of SRT, is charged with rebuilding the SRT unit, which languished when Chrysler was owned by Cerberus Capital Management. Three new SRT vehicles, versions of the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans and the Jeep Grand Cherokee, will arrive in dealerships this fall, joining the Challenger SRT8.
