Toyota Prius T Spirit Review & Road Test (2010 / 2011)

Sun, 12 Dec 2010

We spend a week with the Toyota Prius There are many – us included – who thought it extremely unlikely that Toyota would ever want to send us any of their hybrid cars for review. Much less – in light of our oft stated dislike of the Prius and all the motoring piousness it represents – let us review the latest  Toyota Prius But it turns out that Toyota are a decent bunch of chaps who believe that their cars – even their hybrid cars – are capable of standing up to scrutiny, even with our well known antipathy to the whole hybrid direction. And let’s face it, so entrenched is the Prius as a ‘Planet Saver’ in the minds of many that even if we simply confirm our opinion after a week of playing it’s not really going to make much difference to Toyota.

Jaguar C-X16 Revealed: It may be the XE, but it’s no E-Type Jag

Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Jaguar C-X16 - innovative under the skin We’ve known the new small sports car from Jaguar – which may or may not become the Jaguar XE – was heading for Frankfurt for some time. Especially after we had teases of the Concept version – the Jaguar C-X16 – a few weeks ago. So it was no surprise when we had a heap of new photos and a video of the C-X16 drop in to our inbox at midnight.

Alfa Romeo Disco Volante returns to Geneva, this time in green and gold

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Just about everyone loved the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring Superleggera that debuted at the 2012 edition of the Geneva motor show. The curvy coupe channeled the design of Alfa Romeos of the 1960s, namely the Alfa Romeo 2000 and 2600 penned by Touring, while appearing modern at the same time. The concept, finished in red at the time, drew praise for its good looks, enough to make just about everyone forget what sort of monster lived under that svelte bodywork: the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, powered by a 4.7-liter 450-hp V8 good for a 0 to 60 sprint of 4.2 seconds.
