But now the 5 Series facelift is here, and what it lacks in real changes BMW has made up for in photos – they’ve sent us over 200 photos of the new 5 Series – Saloon, Touring and GT – maybe in the hope that a mass of photos will make us think the changes are extensive. Hennessey reveals Venom GT supercar

Texas tuner Hennessey Performance is taking a page out of the playbook of Carroll Shelby--drop a huge American V8 into a lightweight British chassis. The result is the Hennessey Venom GT, which melds high-performance Chevrolet Corvette and Lotus technology into a furious supercar. Borrowing from the Cobra's now-iconic template, the Venom GT broke cover on Monday and will come with the ZR1's supercharged 6.2-liter V8 modified to push out 725 hp.

Ford begins Daventry site transformation

FORD IS to invest millions of pounds in a new, state-of-the-art training facility on its existing site in Daventry, Northamptonshire, as part of a wider forward-looking programme. The new site will merge the capabilities of two existing Ford colleges – the Technical Training Centre located separately at Daventry, and the Henry Ford College in Loughborough, which provides training for technicians, sales staff and management throughout Ford’s national dealer network. Scheduled to open next year, the brand-new centre will replace the existing facilities to become a centre of excellence for training across the country.
