2012 Mazda CX-5 at Frankfurt
Tue, 02 Aug 20112012 Mazda CX-5 - Frankfurt Debut Mazda has been touting its SKYACTIV Technologies for some time now, and the new 2012 Mazda CX-5 – which Mazda will debut at Frankfurt next month – is the first Mazda to come endowed with a complete raft of SKYACTIV stuff. The clever stuff includes Mazda’s new modular platform that can be used for everything from the Mazda3 upwards, and which is said to give the CX-5 not just car-like handling but proper sporty and stable driving dynamics too. The SKYACTIV technology comes in to play with the engines too on the CX-5, with the new 2.2 litre diesel delivering 173bhp and a remarkably low 120g/km in standard guise.
Lexus teases Frankfurt SUV concept (2013)
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Lexus has released the first picture of what’s expected to be its new SUV concept car, bound for the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013. Clearly set to employ the sharp-creased design and huge ‘spindle grille’ cues from the current Lexus range – not to mention the LF-LC coupe concept – Lexus is nevertheless staying tight-lipped on details of its new model. We’ll see the car revealed completely in early September.
Lingenfelter Retrokit turns today's Camaro into classic RS
Fri, 26 Oct 2012Ken Lingenfelter knows retro. When the fifth-generation Chevy Camaro came out in 2009, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering quickly designed and built a retro Trans-Am kit to transform the Camaro into a modern-day TA. Now, he's taking the WABAC machine even further to create Retrokits that make the new ponycar look like a 1969 Camaro RS.
