Peugeot Prologue concept (2008): first photos
Tue, 16 Sep 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 16 September 2008 11:14 This is Peugeot’s Prologue, a Paris motor show concept that preview 2009’s 3008 MPV. It’s another dot-dot-dot concept to join the RC, but the Peugeot Prologue is production ready. There’s a big egg-crate grille, boomerang rear lights and a full-length glass roof, but apart from toning down the big bumpers and sills, the Prologue should become the 3008 MPV with few other exterior tweaks.
Citroen C4 Cactus (2014) first official pictures
Wed, 05 Feb 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 05 February 2014 19:00 Well done to Citroen: its arch-funky Cactus crossover concept has makes it into production unscathed, ‘Airbumps’ and all. The production version’s called the Citroen C4 Cactus as it’s based on the C4 hatch, but it’s had the funk turned up to 11. If you’re arriving this late to the compact crossover party, you need to make a splash – good job the new C4 Cactus is head-turning enough to cause the Nissan Juke and Ford EcoSport nightmares.
Russian Grand Prix: Hamilton on pole for Mercedes
Sat, 11 Oct 2014Hamilton (r) has pole in Russia followed by Rosberg (l) and Bottas (c) Amid tight security thanks to Russia’s ongoing spat in Ukraine, and a muted appetite for exuberance after Jules Bianchi’s dreadful crash with a JCB on track last weekend, the rest of the F1 circus seems to be on normal duty, with Hamilton’s Mercedes taking the front row and Hamilton dominating proceedings in qualifying to secure another pole position. But it wasn’t necessarily going all Mercedes’ way, with Bottas stringing together a very quick lap in the dying moments of final qualifying that looked like it could propel him in front of the Mercedes duo, until he lost traction at the end of his flying lap and had to settle for third spot in tomorrow’s race. Joining Bottas on row two is Jenson Button and his McLaren after a strong qualifying, and Daniil Kvyat – at his first home Grand Prix – managed to secure a very impressive fifth spot for Toro Rosso. Kevin Magnussen in the second McLaren would have been on row three in sixth spot but gets a five place penalty for a gearbox change.
