ADDS HORSEPOWER WITHOUT COMPROMISING RELIABILITY
K&N Lifetime air filters feature High-Flow Technology to help your car breathe easier, giving you the power you crave without the reliability headache often associated with high performance parts - and because K&N is a Lifetime filter, it never needs to be replaced.

Your car's engine is essentially a giant air pump, combusting a mixture of fuel and air with a carefully timed spark. The more air the engine has available, the more horsepower it can make.

An engine that breathes more easily will also show improvements in throttle response. Throttle response is measured by the amount of delay or hesitation that your car exhibits between when you press down on the gas pedal and when the engine responds by delivering power. Improvements in throttle response give you more "pep" in your car's acceleration.

ADDS HORSEPOWER WITHOUT IGNORING FUEL ECONOMY
The U.S. Government recommends replacing your car's dirty air filter for an improvement in fuel mileage of up to 10%*.

K&N Lifetime air filters feature a cleanable High-Flow Technology to help your car breathe easier. So when a K&N air filter finally does become clogged, all you have to do is clean it, instead of having to replace it over and over.

An engine that is getting the optimal amount of air flow is an efficient engine, and one that may show improvements in fuel mileage over an engine that is gasping for breath through a clogged air filter. With fuel prices at record highs, isn't it nice to know that something as simple and inexpensive as changing or cleaning your car's dirty air filter may improve mileage? Other mileage savings tips include making sure that your car's tires are properly inflated and removing unused accessory racks and heavy items from the car when not in use.

ADDING HORSEPOWER WITHOUT WASTING MONEY
K&N Lifetime air filters feature High-Flow Technology to help your car breathe easier, giving you the power you crave without breaking the bank - and because K&N is a Lifetime filter, it never needs to be replaced. The money you save not having to change disposable paper filters is working for you to buy horsepower.

Stop throwing away money with disposable air filters. K&N Lifetime filters cost more initially, but never have to be replaced for the life of your car. This will save money in the long run compared to the cost of buying disposable replacement air filters.

If you are paying for labor by having your air filter serviced every 15,000 miles (as is often the case on many new cars) the savings are even greater. Now, not only are you saving on the cost of buying replacement disposable filters, you are also saving on the labor to have your old filter removed and the new one installed. Do the math. This is a significant savings over the life of you car and money that can better be put to use getting out on the road and enjoying life.

ADDING HORSEPOWER WHILE HELPING REDUCE WASTE
Over 100 million disposable paper air filters end up in US landfills or incinerators every year.

K&N Lifetime air filters never need to be replaced. K&N Lifetime filters feature High-Flow Technology to help your car breathe easier, giving you the power you crave while reducing waste.

K&N Lifetime Air Filters are made of cotton, a renewable resource (unlike the trees from which paper is made that take years to grow to maturity).

A clean air filter can also improve fuel mileage by up to 10%* over a clogged air filter. That 10% of fuel that is saved also helps to reduce vehicle emissions related pollution.

What’s the Big Deal About Air Flow?

Simply put, Everything! At its most basic level, an engine is an air pump. More air entering the engine increases the efficiency of the combustion process creating more horsepower and torque. Horsepower is a measure of the engine's maximum power while torque measures how quickly you can accelerate.

The K&N Filtercharger® is designed to increase engine performance in both horsepower and throttle response by reducing air flow restriction.

Maintaining optimal, unrestricted air flow becomes a problem when it must pass through a filtering medium. The level of air resistance varies depending on the size, surface area and physical attributes of the filtering medium.

Dodge debuts new emblem

Mon, 24 May 2010

With Ram and Dodge going their separate ways, the Ram brand is keeping the distinctive ram's horns logo that adorned Dodge vehicles. That left the Dodge brand to search for a new symbol as it tries to reinvent itself as a sporty, youth-oriented brand -- without pickups. So Dodge CEO Ralph Gilles adopted the twin red slashes of Chrysler Group's performance cars, seen on SRTs and R/T models.

Salon Privé 2011: Night Shift

Thu, 17 Mar 2011

Salon Prive does a Night Shift for the Pommery Picnic It may be a bit of an exagerration to say that Salon Privé – one of our favourite ‘Car’ outings – is going to include a night shift in 2011 – but almost. Salon Prive’s move from the Hurlingham in Chelsea out to the less central – but more hospitable – Duke of Northumberland’s gaff at Syon Park means there’s room to expand the event, so we’re getting treated to the ‘Pommery Picnic’ on the Friday evening – 7pm ’til 11pm. As we never fail to mention when we bang on about Salon Prive, it’s just like a Garden Party in a wealthy friend’s house where he just happens to have littered the grounds with the world’s greatest cars.
