Dual-clutch transmission put on hold at Chrysler
Mon, 14 Nov 2011Chrysler Group has delayed introduction of a fuel-saving automatic transmission so it can make the shift patterns more palatable to U.S. drivers--the latest sign that a key tool in automakers' plans to meet tougher fuel-economy rules needs some fine-tuning. Jaguar sports hatch is inspired by R-D6 concept
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Jaguar plans to add a dramatically styled sports-hatch model to its lineup beginning in 2014. The R-D6 design, which had been considered an ill fit for the brand's traditional sedan/sports-car image, is now gaining support at the highest levels of the company as it forges an independent future under Indian owner Tata.
