OFFICIAL: BMW M4 Concept

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

The BMW M4 Concept (pictured) has been revealed The BMW M4 heading towards Pebble Beach this weekend (and pictured above) is billed by BMW as the M4 Concept, but it’s almost exactly what you’ll get when the M4 goes on sale in 2014. As this is a ‘Concept’ BMW don’t feel the need to fill in all the details, but there’s some stuff we can see and some stuff we pretty much know. Ferrari HY-KERS 2012 heading for F70 revealed: Beijing 2012

Tue, 24 Apr 2012

Ferrari HY-KERS 2012 Ferrari has revealed a new HY-KERS hybrid setup for 2012 at the Beijing Motor Show which is heading for the F70 Enzo replacement. It may seem odd to talk about a hybrid Ferrari, but it’s vital for companies like Ferrari to have a hybrid option in their arsenal to reduce average CO2 emissions for as long as legislators continue their pointless governance of carbon dioxide levels. That’s why Ferrari developed their HY-KERS system, which was shown on a 599 in 2010, and it’s why Ferrari has now revealed a new HY-KERS system at the Beijing Motor Show.

New BMW 2-Series Active Tourer arrives as BMW’s first front-wheel-drive car (+video)

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

The new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer (pictured) arrives in the UK September 2014 Many will see it as sacrilege that the new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer MPV is front-wheel-drive, but pragmatists will see it as a sensible move to extend BMW’s depth of offerings. Whichever side you come down on, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer – previewed by the BMW Concept Active Tourer at Paris in 2012 – is a production reality and does look like it will fill very well the space in BMW’s range for a compact MPV. Despite looks that are almost the opposite of what you’d expect from a BMW – stubby nose and a high roof line; a proper BMW take on the Mercedes B-Class – the 2-Series Active Tourer still manages to exude BMW style, albeit in a more practical way to the rest of the range.
