GM's top battery executive for the Volt to join California startup

General Motors's top executive in charge of developing batteries for the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid is leaving to take a position with an unnamed startup battery company in California. Denise Gray, 46, global director of rechargeable energy storage systems, will step down March 5 after more than three years in the post. This was “an opportunity that I could just not resist,” Gray said in a phone interview.

Panamera delays mean free luggage for owners

The first nearly 200 buyers of the Porsche Panamera in the United States are getting a little something extra--the Porsche luggage set, priced at $3,580--for free. Porsche is giving away the specially designed luggage because the first batch of Panameras are late--they've been held at the ports while a problem with the car's key and software have been fixed. The expectant owners were sent a letter from Porsche explaining the delay.

President Obama arrived at his inauguration earlier this week in a new Cadillac Presidential Limousine, which includes many of the brand's signature design elements.   As the first all-new Presidential limousine since the 2004 Cadillac DTS built for President George W.
