This is the wood front bow
for the 1969 to 1974 Karmann Ghia convertible.

Note: 1969 Ghias with glass rear window

We have sold approximately 600 units over the years.
The picture does not show the holes which we do drill
for the plate centering pin studs.
These holes are drilled oversized so that
original plates and aftermarket plates will both work.

Plastic bows are cheaper
but more difficult to install and
may chip severely during stapling
and they do not have the stud holes pre-drilled

The wood bow may require trimming
and the insertion of shims
just as the original Ghia factory wood bows did
in order to optimize the orientation of the bow
with respect to the windshield.

This bow has been used with original plates
and also the replacement
plates which originate in China
and which have some variability.

Early 1969 Karmann Ghia convertibles
had plastic rear windows.
These 1969 Ghias take a different bow.

We are M & T Manufacturing Co of Rhode Island.
We have been manufacturing convertible wood bows
and supplying VW parts ever since 1974.

Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing Electric – Official

Thu, 16 Jul 2009

Mercedes has confirmed they are planning an SLS AMG eDrive for 2015 As we suggested the other day, it looks like this will be known as the Mercedes SLS AMG eDrive. It will feature an in-board electric motor for each wheel, generating the equivalent of  526bhp, which should give the SLS eDrive similar performance to its conventionally driven sibling. By putting a motor at each corner, Mercedes are effectively endowing the SLS eDrive with an intelligent four wheel drive system.

Ford will be reducing the price of its Ford Focus electric by $4,000 for the 2014 model year, InsideEVs.com is reporting. The 10 percent price cut will lower the starting MSRP from $39,995 (including a $795 destination charge) down to $35,995. This move by Ford is seen as an attempt to keep the electric car competitive since its release back in 2011.

Reliant 'Rugged Robin' is ready for battle

Thu, 28 Jun 2012

The Reliant Robin has a loyal cult following that is characterized mainly by racing and funky paint jobs, but one man in England has taken the task of defending the Robin's honor to a whole new level. Bernard Reeves of East Sussex in the United Kingdom told the Daily Mail that he got fed up with Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson's ridicule of the Robin, most notably in a film containing footage of Clarkson rolling a Robin multiple times before pushing it into a canal. If Reeves has a grudge against people who poke fun of Robins on a regular basis, we'd suspect that Mr.
