New car emissions lowest ever

THE AVERAGE CAR in the UK now emits an average of 128.3g/km, the lowest ever and almost 30% less than in 2000. This means the UK has exceeded the target set by the European Union for average CO2 emissions of 130g/km by 2015. The next target is 95g/km that is set for 2020.

BMW X6 M50d - Video Tease 2 with talking heads The BMW X6 M50d – BMW’s diesel-powered M car – gets a second video tease today, this time with talking heads. The BMW X6 M50d – or whatever convoluted moniker BMW decides to attach toi their diesel-powered M X6 – is certainly getting the full force of the BMW new product tease machine. Ignoring the real leaks about a diesel-powered X6, we’ve already had one video tease for the new X6 M50d, with the X6 blatting around mountain roads with the important bits blurred out.

The Quant - back at Geneva as the NLV Quant Last week we ran a story on Koenigsegg taking somethig new to Geneva after we’d had a chat with them. But part of that story was on last year’s Koenigsegg Quant, a four-seat electric supercar we saw at Geneva 2009. At the time it was billed as a Koenigsegg Quant (although, as Koenigsegg pointed out to us, it was always a commission project) but now it’s set to return to Geneva 2010 as the NLV Quant.
