The new Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show. When we had the reveal of the new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake last week we bemoaned the fact that all the UK was getting was a pair of diesel-powered CLS’s. But we did point out, despite nothing official from Mercedes, that there was a good chance they were going to take a camouflaged version of the one petrol powered CLS the UK should eventually get – the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake – to Goodwood at the weekend.

To our 6-year-old selves, monster trucks really were the biggest, baddest things on four wheels, mechanized, city-block-sized demon machines that ate sedans and belched fire. The reality is that the trucks aren't that big when you get right up next to them -- certainly not the Caterpillar 797-sized car-obliterators we imagined years ago. They're probably around 12 feet high at most; given current trends, they'll be eclipsed by heavy-duty pickups in a design cycle or two.

With little fanfare Subaru showed two promising concepts at the Tokyo show, both based on iconic Subaru performance cars. The Cross Sport Design Concept is an SUV/wagon body that rides on BRZ mechanicals. Think of it as a BRZ wagon, offering the nimble tossability of the sporty BRZ coupe with the roomy practicality of a wagon.
