GM's Lutz to retire May 1
Wed, 03 Mar 2010General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz plans to retire from the automaker effective May 1, according to a statement released by GM on Wednesday. Lutz, 78, had been serving as a senior adviser to GM Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre after shelving retirement plans to take charge of the automaker's marketing after it emerged from bankruptcy in July 2009. An outspoken executive who both challenged global warming and championed GM's all-electric Volt, Lutz is credited with revitalizing GM's product development efforts after being hired by former GM CEO Rick Wagoner in 2001.
Infiniti M Line (2010/2011) – M37 & M30d – at Geneva +video
Mon, 22 Feb 2010Infiniti are debuting the Infiniti M Line at the Geneva Motor Show Back in December Nissan released a heap of detail on their range-topping Infiniti – the Infiniti M Line – aimed at European buyers of the 5 Series and E Class. But sadly for us we’re not going to get the real halo Infiniti M Line – the M56 – instead we have to make do with the 3.7 litre V6 petrol – the M37 – and the 3.0 litre diesel – the M30d. We will be getting the M35 hybrid later, but that doesn’t look as if it’s Geneva bound.
VW E-Bugster convertible concept car at 2012 Beijing motor show

We saw the E-Bugster in tin-top form at the 2012 Detroit auto show; now they've gone and chopped the top fully for Beijing. It's a two-seater speedster version of the Beetle hatch, driven by an 85kW electric drive system; essentially, the powertrain of this car is what will underpin the 2013 Blue-e-motion electric Golf.
