For the rider who wants it all our HeliBars® Pilot™ handlebar risers are just the right fit. Based on our previous design which accepted a Ram Mount® Ball we added a Powerlet® socket (this is not a standard cigarette lighter style) to the left adapter for a super clean, more secure and functional system.
The Pilot model provides a 2 inch rise and makes it easy to mount and power your GPS or other device. Our new adapters feature high quality stainless steel hardware and a silver powder coat finish. Increase your touring comfort and keep the great sport bike handling.
The new HeliBar Tour Performance HR adapter offers:
- 51 mm (2 inch) increased handlebar height
- 19 mm (3/4 inch) rear offset to reduce reach to grips
- Removes bar and hand distractions in the rearview mirrors due to the bars and controls being moved up and out of the field of view
- Left side features the Powerlet® socket for a convenient power source that moves with the handlebars to keep a constant secure connection (This is NOT a cigarette lighter style. It is a European Style for a more secure connection.) We recommend a 10" Powerlet To Cigarette Socket Cable (Part 150-0113 - $20)
- Right side bar adapter includes a vertically threaded boss with a 1” Ram Mount® Ball. This single feature simplifies and reduces the cost of mounting a GPS or other electronic device. Road testing dictated this ideal ball mount location which allows easy access to the tank top storage compartment lid. We also recommend a Ram Mount® 6” double socket extension arm, which will place your GPS at the ideal height (Part# RM6 - $20.00)
- Uses all stock cables and hydraulic lines
- Wiring Harness not included (Part# 150-0034 - $24.00)
- Measurement is taken at the bar end where the hand is

Jenson Button in McLaren P1 (2013) supercar fly-by
Thu, 31 Jan 2013McLaren’s P1 supercar trundled out for its first official drive-by today, when F1 driver Jenson Button drove it into McLaren’s Woking citadel before unveiling his 2013 race car. The stunt confirmed that the P1 can manoeuvre on electric power alone, unlike Button’s MP4-28: the race car’s hybrid KERS system is used to deliver a short power boost to supplement the V8. McLaren predicts the P1’s electric-only mode is a capability its forthcoming Ferrari rival (codenamed F150) won’t be able to match.
Stop-Start Freelander on the way
Mon, 01 Dec 2008Land Rover has announced that it will be introducing stop-start technology on its Freelander range from May 2009, thus saving around 8% on the Co2 emissions, and taking the Freelander down a group on VED, which should help move a few more Freelanders off forecourts next year. The technology for the stop-start was developed in-house, with a new engine management system coming from Bosch and an uprated starter from Denso. The stop-start option will be available on the 2.2 TD4, which accounts for nearly half of UK sales.
