2015 Cadillac Escalade – it’s still big, bold & brash

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade arrives – it’s still big, bold & brash The Cadillac Escalade SUV is not a car you see much in the UK, but it is loved by footballers, Rappers and those who deal in less than legal substances. It’s really too big, too brash and too flashy to ever have a hope of making real sales in the UK or Europe, but in America it’s the default luxury SUV of choice for even the most staid of buyers. So they won’t be disappointed that the 2015 Cadillac Escalade (which we would think of as a 2014 Escalade, as production starts next spring) is still huge and brash, even if it does seem to have gone up a notch or two in quality.

By Martin Saarinen First Official Pictures 16 October 2013 16:00 Audi is unleashing a special edition TTS, with RS looks and lashings of equipment. The TTS Limited Edition commemorates the iconic Audi smashing the 500,000 sales barrier, in its fifteenth year on sale. Priced from £38,860 for the coupe and £42,320 for the roadster, the special TTS costs £2815 or £4115 more than its coupe or roadster equivalent, but Audi claims the cars get an extra £5665 of kit to tempt punters.

Koenigsegg planning an entry-level car – but it’ll still cost £500k

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

Koenigsegg are planning an entry-level car at half the price of the Agera R (pictured) Think of the cars that Christian von Koenigsegg has made since he started with the CC8S in 2002 and you think of them as extremes of the supercar genre; the Swedish engineering take on the bloated and massively complex Bugatti Veyron. Christian’s men in a shed in Sweden have gone on to make a series of progressively quicker and more impressive supercars, through the CCR, CCX and the Agera and on to the current most extreme iteration – the Koenigsegg One:1. But it looks like Christian has decided that his ambition to create the world’s greatest hypercar leaves room for a ‘Lesser’ Koenigsegg, a car that still has innovative engineering and extreme performance but comes at a lower price.
