CPP buys Bowler Offroad
Fri, 11 Mar 2011Bowler Nemesis - Now made - and owned - by CPP Goodness, CPP Manufacturing are busy little bees at the moment. No sooner do we learn that CPP has bought Spyker Cars (well, strictly speaking it’s CPP Global Holdings Ltd who are hoovering up with Vladimir Antonov’s money) than we discover CPP has also acquired Bowler Offroad. For the uninitiated, Bowler are the makers of bonkers offroad vehicles that can probably be best described as Land Rover Supercars.

It’s over a year since the new Peugeot 208 was rolled out in the hope that it could revive Peugeot’s sales and bring back to the ailing French car maker some of the sales gloss they enjoyed with the 205.

We’ve talked about a hot version of the new Mercedes A Class almost since Mercedes debuted the Concept A on which the new A Class is based. Back then we speculated – thanks to input from Top Gear – that the AMG version of the new A Class would get 4WD and 350bhp from a turbo 4-pot.
