Sci-fi Audi from Ender’s Game movie revealed

It’s an Audi, Jim, but not as we know it – this sleek, ground-hugging machine is a four-ringed future mobile from the forthcoming blockbuster science-fiction movie, Ender’s Game. It’s called the Audi Fleet Shuttle Quattro, and – like the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band’s ‘Urban Spaceman’ – here comes the twist: it doesn’t actually exist. Watch Koenigsegg One:1 active aero in action

Christian Von Koenigsegg and Drive are back with another installment of “Inside Koenigsegg.” Episode 3 focuses on the One:1's active rear wing. The naked carbon-fiber wing on the 1,360-hp Koenigsegg One:1 gets a front-top mounting, which reportedly causes less turbulence than a rear-mounted wing. The total weight is about 20 pounds, which von Koenigsegg claims is about 1/3 of what most active wing systems weigh.

BMW has launched its first diesel M car: the new M550d xDrive in saloon and Touring estate forms. It's part of a strategy to fill the gap between the exclusive M GmbH division cars and the top-end cosmetic M Sport trim lines with a new range of M lite: BMW M Performance Automobiles. Developed by the engineers responsible for the M3, M5 et al, the new M550d xDrive is powered by a new high-output version of the 3.0-litre straight six turbodiesel packing not one, not two, but three turbochargers.
