Audi explores new color and trim options
Wed, 20 Jul 2011Audi, well known for creating some of the most desired automotive interiors in the business, is looking to push the boundaries of personalization and further increase the levels of quality of interior design in its vehicles. The first vehicle to benefit from this will be the new Q3, revealed at the Shanghai motor show in April. Its interior contains a new style of inlays made from larch wood and aluminum, a range of interior colors and an optional LED interior light package.
UK electric car sales hit record high
Tue, 12 Nov 2013While electric cars may not have taken off as quickly as the likes of Renault and Nissan had hoped, the latest figures from the government’s £5,000 electric car grant scheme show that sales have leapt 25% in the last quarter. A total of 1,149 electric cars were registered in Q3, not only a 25% improvement over Q2, but the most successful quarter since the government scheme began back in January 2011, indicating that consumers are starting to understand the technology and its limitations rather better. It’s got more power, trick tyres, adjustable dampers, a titanium exhaust, and with that armoury Renault is firing a warning shot across the bows of forthcoming mega hatches like the Honda Civic Type R and Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme. Renaultsport has worked on the regular Megane 265's turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine to find an extra 10bhp, so peak power is now 271bhp (or 275PS, hence the name) delivered at 5500rpm.
