Children more distracting than cell phones, study finds

Parents of small children will not be surprised by findings released recently by Australian researchers stating children pose a greater distraction to drivers than talking on cell phones -- a 12 percent greater distraction, to be exact. Toyota says quake-hit plants escape major structural damage

Toyota Motor Corp. has released the first damage report for its northern Japanese factories in the region hammered by Friday's massive earthquake, saying some equipment and fixtures will need repairs but that the plants sustained no major structural harm. For days after the quake, Toyota had trouble contacting it plants in the northern Japan quake zone, making it difficult to assess their status.

Red Bull one-two in German Grand Prix

Mark Webber achieved his first F1 win in the Red Bull at the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring Red Bull driver Mark Webber took pole position for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring this weekend and, despite a hiccup at the start, managed to translate that in to a double – his first pole and first win in F1. Webber was quick off the line at the start, but got tangled up with Rubens Barrichello in the Brawn. That altercation cost Webber a 10 second drive-through penalty.
