KWICK’s Trick Stainless Radiator Brackets....Drop 15.7 Ounces!!

If you choose not to run the factory Radiator Shrouds, you will find that some of the brackets out there, or if you choose to just let “it hang”, will often times accelerate the the probability of your radiator’s early demise. The most common place leakage starts is were the top rail meets the tank. Not securely locating the radiator is not good.

A good, secure mount set, which stabilizes the radiator and takes some of the load off the top rail is needed.

I have designed just that mount. Each side is a four piece setup made completely of stainless steel. The pieces are all laser cut, and are glass bead finished.  You can paint or powdercoat the piece(s) if you choose. One of the four pieces is a spacer plate that you can spray a contrasting color...like red, green or blue,  which accents the ELS logo....or not.  All stock hardware is reused. No trimming or spacing needed.

My brackets not only hold the radiator secure from up and down movement, but also securely holds it from side to side.   And, they are Vewry, Vewry light...

This is now the recommended mount set for the Tealdo Rad Radiator if you are not running the stock shrouds. Fits stock radiators perfectly also!

Camaro, Sonic fill the Chevrolet stand at SEMA

Tue, 01 Nov 2011

Custom Camaro and Sonic models lead the way at the Chevroletstand at SEMA this year, with a green electroluminescent Hot Wheels Camaro leading the pack. The paint on the Hot Wheels car was not actually plugged in to an electrical source to make it glow so bright, but it sure seemed like it was. The idea was to get the same metallic finish that shined on the first 1:64 scale Hot Wheels Camaro, one of the original 16 die-casts that debuted from Mattel in 1968.

Lamborghini has committed to reducing their CO2 footprint by 35% by 2015 We’ve seen luxury marques such as Bentley reveal bio-fuel cars, and Ferrari is working on a number of initiatives to reduce its emissions. And now its the turn of Lamborghini to let us know the direction they’re heading. To be fair to Lamborghini, they are already heading down a lower emissions route.

Volkswagen and BYD get cosy

Tue, 26 May 2009

VW and BYD have signed an agreement to work together on developing battery technology (BYD F3DM plug-in Hybrid pictured). Volkswagen has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese car maker and EV specialist BYD to work together “in the area of electric mobility”. Seems sensible.
