Attention all tranny techs... up for bid or purchase is a seal installer set used to quickly and properly install the center support seals on the 4L80E transmission. Included in this set are the following: #J-38735-1, the protector, measures 2" in diameter and approx. 4" in length, and has a threaded screw at the top; and #J-38735-3, which I think is the pusher/installer, which has (16) "fingers" and - as seen in the last (2) pictures - simply slides over the protector to push the seals into their correct positions/grooves without rolling or twisting. Original came with a "sizer" that pressed the seals in their grooves, which unfortunately has cracked. Set retails for $151.24 thru Kent Moore! Please email with any questions.

Fiat 500 in New York

Sat, 06 Jun 2009

The Fiat 500 on Wall Street - Image by AP Fiat has obviously taken a good look at what BMW has managed with the MINI and thought ‘We can do that’. After all, the Fiat 500 is a car very similar in concept to the MINI. Designed to evoke a motoring icon, but made very much 21st century in its execution, both the MINI and the Fiat 500 have gone down a storm in Europe.

New Jaguar XJR will see the end of the XJ SuperSport

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

The launch of the new 2013 Jaguar XJR at the New York Auto Show this week heralds the end of the line for Jaguar’s other Supercharged V8 XJ – the SuperSport. With a much more fulsome 542bhp, some very ‘Jaguar’ go-faster bits, some proper fettling to make the steering, gearbox and suspension focus more on the drive without making a mess of the ride and altogether more dynamism in prospect than the SuperSport, we’d assumed Jaguar were making the XJR the performance pinnacle of the XJ range and leaving the SuperSport in place as the ‘luxury’ alternative. With that thought in mind we’d expected to see Jaguar push the price of the new XJR up towards the XJ Ultimate (which costs £121,000), so count us gobsmacked when Jaguar revealed the new XJR will cost from £92,335 – just £500 more than the SuperSport.

Audi Q1 (2016) tiny SUV confirmed by Audi

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 02 December 2013 15:50 The Audi Q1 has been confirmed by the German car maker as part of its expansion to a 60-model line-up by 2020 – including a glut of which will be Q-badged SUVs. The letter Q, of course, is the designation for the brand’s SUV line-up, which currently kicks-off with the Audi A3-based Q3. While popular, the Q3 has never had the style image and leadership Audi has desired – like the RangeRover Evoque has managed – and is looking to make amends with its newest niche filler.
