BMW recalls 132,000 cars for fuel-pump fixes
Tue, 26 Oct 2010BMW is recalling about 130,000 cars fitted with its N54 twin-turbo six-cylinder engine to repair a faulty high-pressure fuel pump. The recall covers the 2007-10 335i; the 2008-10 135i, 535i and X6 xDrive35i, and the 2009-10 Z4 sDrive35i. BMW says about 40,000 of those cars will need a new fuel pump.

Fri, 25 Jul 2014The McLaren P1 GTR (pictured) will debut at Pebble Beach 2014 We learnt last month that McLaren had decided to produce a P1 for the track – a la the Ferrari FXX programme – and in the process revive the GTR moniker from the iconic McLaren F1 GTR to create the new McLaren P1 GTR. Now McLaren are previewing the debut of the P1 GTR at next month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a design sketch of the P1 GTR ahead of its real life reveal in California. Following in the giant steps of the F1 GTR – and those of the road-going P1 – will be no easy task, but what’s on offer certainly offers lots of promise.
Land Rover backed Race2Recovery team finishes Dakar Rally
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The Race2Recovery Rally team – a group of disabled servicemen backed by Land Rover – has become the first disabled team to finish the Dakar Rally. Land Rover may have backed the Race2Recovery team in the Dakar Rally, but the real triumph is that of the team’s members as they become the first disabled team to complete the gruelling rally. In the space of just eighteen months, the Race2Recovery team has gone from a handful of disabled servicemen to a fully fledged Dakar Rally Team with 28 people, four Wildcats and a bunch of support vehicles including a pile of Discoveries for transporting the support team and equipment.
