Government to make UK hub for driverless cars
Thu, 05 Dec 2013The government has today announced plans to make the UK a world centre for the development of driverless cars – with a £10 million cash incentive to any town or city that builds a test site for autonomous vehicles. The news comes as part of chancellor George Osborne’s 2013 Autumn Statement – alongside plans to scrap the car road tax disc and freeze fuel duty. To celebrate, the company is introducing two special 100th Anniversary Editions of the Charger and Challenger at the Los Angeles Auto Show. John and Horace Dodge were already making a decent living supplying parts to Detroit’s burgeoning automotive industry when they decided to introduce their own car, the Dodge Model 30, in 1914.
