You are bidding on a Brand New Kirkey 16" Wide 18 Degree Layback, Intermediate Full Containment Racing Seat with complete Head & Shoulder Kit & all Black Covers (Kirkey Part #'s 88160KIT).

These seats are regularly used in Dirt Modifieds, Asphalt Modifieds, Late Models, Stock Cars, Street Stocks, Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, and numerous other forms of motorsports applications.

Features:

  • Kirkey's Containment seat is designed for the short track racer who wants the added safety of a containment seat at a price they can afford.
  • Constructed from TIG welded .100" thick 5052 grade aluminum. Additional MIG welding adds strength
  • Contoured elongated bottom reinforced for added thigh and hip support
  • Energy absorbing padding on seat bottom
  • Reinforced rib and shoulder restraints have extra 1/2" energy absorbing padding directly on the seat
  • Head restraint is adjustable both vertically and laterally and uses molded high density energy absorbing impact pads that eliminates upholstery
  • Head restraint can also rotate down for additional peripheral vision
  • Fabricated aluminum connector brackets for easy head adjustment
  • Left side of head restraint angled and shortened to allow easy entry, exit
  • Right and Left leg extensions built in
  • Lap and sub belt openings have molded rubber grommets to eliminate belt wear
  • Designed to accommodate all seat belt systems

    ***How to measure for a seat: In the seated position, using a straight edge, measure across the hips at the widest point.  This measurement is the width of seat that you need.

    Carl-Peter Forster, CEO of Tata Motors, has told CAR of his hopes for Tata’s expansion in Europe – with plans to launch the Nano here with a diesel and possibly an electric version. You can read the full interview with Forster in the new July 2010 issue of CAR Magazine out this week. Tata is already the world’s fourth largest commercial vehicle producer and it is a strong force in the Indian car market.

    The New Ford S-Max Concept (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt Ford’s sporty take on the Galaxy – the Ford S-Max – has been with us since 2006, so it’s time for a change. But with Ford in Europe not having the best of times and the new Ford Mondeo not expected to arrive until 2014, the all new S-Max – which will have underpinnings from the new Mondeo – won’t be arriving until 2015. But in the absence of anything new to show at Frankfurt, Ford has put together a Concept version of the new S-Max to try and show Europe it really does have new stuff on the way.
