Corvette Z06: The history

Chevrolet recently introduced the 2015 Corvette Z06, claiming it as the most track-capable Corvette in the brand's history. The Z06 started out back in 1963, but since its introduction, it has been available in four of the Corvette's seven production generations. Almost sinking in to oblivion after GM decided to wind it down after failing to secure a buyer who would jump through the required hoops, Spyker is now in control and production has restarted at Trollhatten. It is true that we did report Saab 9-4x production had started back in January, but that was just a limited number of cars for evaluation and crash testing and was prior to the Spyker deal completing.

U.S. new car sales surge at fastest pace in nearly 7 years

U.S. sales of cars and light trucks surged 9 percent in November 1.24 million units and rolled off dealership lots at the fastest pace in almost seven years. The industry's annualized sales rate, adjusted for seasonal factors, rose to 16.4 million last month, up from 15.3 million a year earlier and easily topping analysts' forecasts in the 15.8 million range.
