First Sight: BMW 1 Series

Thu, 25 Mar 2004

This is the first BMW to compete in the premium lower medium European car class defined by cars such as the Audi A3 and Alfa Romeo 147, although spiritually it follows the significantly smaller BMW 2002 Touring produced from 1968 to 1976. A little more compact that the 3 Series (which will grow in size with next year's new model) the 1 Series effectively replaces the 3 Series-based Compact and extends the brand downward to just above the Mini. The 1 Series was previewed by the CS1 two door convertible concept shown two years ago at Geneva, with which it shares much of its exterior proportions and form, and some interior design themes.

Infiniti FX37 & FX50 – UK details

Wed, 10 Jun 2009

Infiniti releases details of the UK specifications and prices for the Infiniti FX range As with the G37, the Infiniti FX range offers plenty of kit for your money and a decent build quality. But it’s throwing itself not just in to the firing line of the Lexus RX450, but also the Porsche Cayenne and the BMW X6. Probably as well that Nissan expect the Infiniti FX to ‘be a rare sight on UK roads’.

More photos, details of new Audi A1 (2010)

Audi has started the countdown to the official unveiling of the new 2010 A1 supermini. Ahead of the A1’s world premiere at the 2010 Geneva motor show in March, Ingolstadt has launched a 22-step (yes, there are 22 parts to this tease) programme that will showcase Audi's new Mini challenger over the next three months. Rather than write 22 separate stories on the new 2010 Audi A1, we thought it'd serve you better to add all the updates to a single page.
