The new VW Beetle is only just starting to make an appearance on UK roads but already it’s about to be overshadowed by its flasher sibling – the 2013 VW Beetle Convertible. Launching at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, the new Beetle Convertible will be loosely based on the VW E-Bugster Cabriolet Concept we saw at the Beijing Show in the Spring.

But in a sign that the future of JLR looks pretty rosy JLR managed to secure £175 million in private financing back in August as part of a bid to raise £500 million, and Tata have refinanced the loans used to acquire JLR.

A 1949 Ferrari 166MM Touring Barchetta will headline RM Auctions' Automobiles of Arizona event, Jan. 20-21 in Phoenix. This 166 MM, serial number 0024 M, was originally commissioned for the 1949 Paris motor show, where it was shown in yellow and blue, the racing colors of Argentina.
