The Lightning GT will be powered by batteries and capable of delivering a range of 250 miles on a single charge by distributing power through electric wheel motors. All of the power will be available from zero rpm and a 0-60 time of under four seconds is predicted.

Nissan Design Europe has announced that it will be participating to the 2009 London Design Festival, but the Japanese automaker will not be showing a new vehicle. From September 23rd to the 25th, Nissan Design Europe will open its doors and become a creative hub hosting arts and design displays and seminars as well as leading a series of tours of the facility. Under the theme of 'East meets West: the cultural crossroads of creativity', the exhibition aims to celebrate the cross-pollination of creative industries in London, and the Japanese automaker will open some areas of its Paddington-based design studio for installations from other artists and designers.

Saab denied Court Protection - there seems no way out We hoped Victor Muller had found a way out of Saab’s financial woes by applying to the Swedish Courts for protection from its creditors while it waited for funds from China to arrive. But the application has hit a brick wall. The district court in Vanersborg said in a statement that there was no reason to believe protection and reorganisation would work for Saab.
