The KO Off Road Wrangler Bumper is the ultimate rock crawler and extreme off road bumper. The KO Off Road Bumper line was engineered after extensive research and development to provide maximum clearance for rock crawling. Each bumper has high degree approach angles and raised corners to maximize ground clearance. With 3/16" cold rolled steel bars and robotically welded to exact specifications, these bumpers are built to last and withstand the roughest off road abuse. Welds are ground and finished to give a one piece look. A two-stage textured matte black powder coating is applied for rugged functionality that will last years and a provide the ultimate style for your Wrangler. The front stinger is manufactured from 1.75" tubing, has two tabs for LED lighting installation, and is drilled to accommodate any LED wiring through the frame. A winch mounting plate is included that accepts up to 12,750 lb winch with the option of running an aluminum or roller fairlead. Each bumper was developed to be a complete bolt on and requires no modifications to your vehicle. The KO Off Road Front Bumper fits 2007-2013 Jeep Wranglers. IIHS names safest cars for 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the safest cars for 2013, including 13 midsize sedans that qualify for a new “top safety pick+” designation. The designation is given to vehicles that earn “good” ratings for occupant protection in at least four of five tests, with no less than “acceptable” in the fifth test. A new test -- the small overlap test -- was added to assess how the vehicles perform during a front-corner collision with another vehicle or object, such as a utility pole.
Hands-free car phones 'should be banned'

This is the view of road safety charity Brake that says four in ten drivers (38%) admit to using hands-free phones in the car despite research that shows talking on a hands-free system is just as dangerous as using a hand-held mobile phone. Drivers who use a mobile phone while driving are four times more likely to be involved in a collision that causes serious or fatal injuries.
Lexus IS Coupe arriving in 2014 & IS F V8 on the way
Thu, 23 May 2013Now it looks like Lexus is going to bring the LF-CC to production life in 2014 as the Lexus IS Coupe (although there are rumours it could be the RC, but that may be for a production version of the even more appealing LF-LC as a range-topping Lexus Coupe) and equip it with the same petrol engine and hybrid options as the IS saloon. What is also in prospect is a return of the IS F – complete with sizeable V8 power – which, if it does arrive, will see the IS Coupe coming with the F engine option and making a very promising foray in to the powerful V8 Coupe market. What doesn’t seem likely is that Lexus are going to bother with a diesel option for the IS or Coupe, despite conventional wisdom saying they need a diesel option to compete in Europe because - as they’ve already demonstrated with the IS 300h – they can deliver an appealing and competitive hybrid with decent performance and price, and bring it in with under 100g/km emissions – perfect for the business market.
