NOS KONI 12 1/2" Shocks
These
shocks have been serviced, as all early KONIs, even NOS have the flaw of the disintegrated and melted rebound-top out plastic washer.
This melted crud has been thoroughly cleaned out, as explained below. Once done it will not happen again so these are set for life. Consider this when buying new or used KONIs.
Check my store for other lengths and models of NOS and used Konis or use "Ask a question" to let me know what model, parts, or service you're looking for.
Feedback: I had a set of blown konis for my RD with the wrong springs for my criteria. I sent them to Rhaag and I have never been more satisfied with the new springs and valving. Unbelievable difference! Thanks Robert! Brian from Missouri.
Robert, The Koni shocks worked great on the TZ250. They were perfect, fantastic, wonderful – beyond expectations. The bike handled brilliantly! Now I need two more sets. John, Florida
As with all early KONIs, they have adjustable rebound damping, so they'll work on any MC when you want run this length shocks. Sale is final. Please ask any questions before bidding.
+++++ A heads up to Koni buyers and owners: Old style 76 series KONIS that have not been serviced get gummed up by an internal soft rubber/ plastic rebound bumper washer (that sits on top of the piston) that dissolved into goo over the decades, and gets sucked into and plugs up the damping mechanisms. This is visible in the photo of the internal parts. So if not jammed already, they'll usually get stuck after trying to pump them. Don't force them or you can do damage including bending the shafts if you try to ride with them jammed. There's no way to resolve the issue except for complete dis-assembly and meticulously cleaning out all the old plastic crud, which takes special tools, a lot of manual work, and time. Once serviced it will not happen again as the new style top out washers are nylon and won't degrade in oil. It's imperative that any NOS and used KONIs you buy will need to be rebuilt or they most likely will be damaged. Be advised of this when considering buying any KONIs that have not been rebuilt. After doing the cylinder porting for FMF racing for nearly 2 decades, I've now turned the craftsmanship and attention to detail to restoring and racing with Konis since '01, and am always looking to buy 76 Series and GP Konis, and also have new shafts available.
These made in Holland "Heavy Turn" 76 series KONIs have adjustable rebound dampening and instructions are included. Will try to assist with reasonable requests.

The Honda P-NUT at the LA Motor Show
This is another of those ‘Lets see what we can make’ type concepts with probably precious little chance of being made. But the Honda ‘Personal-Neo Urban Transport’ – or Honda P-NUT – does make for an interesting micro city car concept. The P-NUT is a three-seat (which sounds great in principle, but all 3-seat cars – McLaren F1 included – are a pain for the driver to get in and out) concept with masses of angular lines and glass, designed to be offered with one of three powertrains – a petrol, petrol-electric hybrid or pure EV.

Hyundai's 2012 Super Bowl Advert (video below)
With the news that General Motors are to pull out of Super Bowl advertising Hyundai steps up to tell GM they’re wrong. It’s really not been GM’s week. Last week they came out and told the world that ads on Facebook aren’t worth the advertising cost and that they were pulling their spend from the (now) newly floated social media site.
