3012 SERIES RACING DAMPER 3012 Series The KONI 3012 shock absorber is performance proven by winning consistently at all levels since 1986, including the Indy 500. The 3012 is an aluminum-bodied, externally double-adjustable, high-pressure gas, coil-over damper. Its patented monotube design allows for independent changes to the rebound and bump damping. The extremely lightweight (only 3 lbs., including spring retainers), hard-anodized body accepts 2.25” I.D. or 2.50” I.D. springs. The 3012 is especially suited to applications with higher piston speeds, where more progressive damping is required. The 3012 has approximately four to six times the adjustment range in any given valving than its competitors, thus eliminating constant revalving procedures from track to track. The 3012 series is available with a variety of valvings to meet your specific damping requirements. Due to the unique valving  and damping characteristics available.  Available in a huge range of damping characteristics, and up to a 9” stroke, the 3012 is a very versatile performer from club racer to Indy, and from street to NASCAR.

With the 2013 Range Rover heading even more upmarket, the Bentley SUV heading for market in 2015 and endless super-SUVs from car customisers the super luxury SUV market is not one Lamborghini can afford to miss out on.

The application of the company's then-new ‘flame surfacing' form language also generated a visual business that seemed out of place on something as conceptually simple as a roadster.
