Sun, 22 Nov 2009Top Gear's Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust Electric Car Update: As Top Gear gave their electric car to Autocar to test (they should have given it to Cars UK!), we thought we’d update this post with the Autocar test video (at the end of this article). With a new series of Top Gear starting last week – Top Gear does Romania being the main piece – we suddenly remembered that you all love Top Gear as much as we do when we had tens of thousands of you arriving to have a look at the piece we did earlier this year when the boys were actually in Romania. So in case any of you pass by here today – and having had a hard Saturday night your brain’s not sure what day it is – we thought we’d remind you the boys are back with another new Top Gear episode tonight at 9pm.
Porsche Panamera
Mon, 24 Nov 2008Porsche today revealed the first official photos of its new four-door grand touring sports car, roughly nine months before its scheduled market launch. Joining the 911, Boxster and Cayman sports cars as well as the sporty Cayenne SUV, the Panamera is Porsche's fourth model series. The designers of the Panamera sought to position their latest offering as a brand-new and truly different model while retaining the defining Porsche look.
Who's Where: Kevin Rice becomes Mazda Europe’s design director as Peter Birtwhistle retires

Effective 1 September, Kevin Rice will succeed Peter Birtwhistle, who retires from the post of chief designer, bringing to an end a 26-year career with Mazda. Following graduation from Coventry University's transport design course, Rice, 50, began his professional career at Opel in 1986.
