Michelin Challenge Design - Deadline for entries April 16

You Can Design America's Next Iconic Vehicle Michelin Challenge Design - the global transportation design competition in its ninth year - is looking for America's next iconic vehicle.  Submissions for the 2009 program will be accepted through April 16, 2008. The winning designs will be evaluated for their uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution by a jury of automotive design professionals and receive prominent display in the MCD exhibit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Driver prefer atlas to sat-nav

SATELLITE NAVIGATION may have become an integral part of many drivers’ daily routine, three quarters of the UK’s motorists (76%) say they still prefer to use a road atlas to plan journeys. Drivers in a survey by the AA said they found an atlas more useful to give an overview of a journey. While satellite navigation systems are useful, a further 65% of drivers said they still use an atlas to check the sat-nav is selecting the best route.

Jaguar F-Type price & performance revealed

We’re still a few days away from the debut of the Jaguar F-Type at Paris 2012, but prices and performance for the F-Type are already revealed. Yet another in the series of stories with leaks on the new Jaguar F-Type continues with the revelation of European prices for Jaguar’s new sports car. Following on from the first leak of a single F-Type photo and this morning’s full F-Type photo gallery, Auto Bild are now reporting European prices for Jaguar’s baby roadster.
