Nissan’s Juke-R vs Supercars irritating video trailers
Tue, 01 May 2012Nissan's Juke-R vs Supercars Nissan are trailing a video of the Juke-R racing supercars in Dubai with a frustrating string of very short video trailers. Back in January we published an amateur video of the bonkers Nissan Juke-R racing a whole heap of supercars on a street track at the International Arena in Dubai and it was an interesting race, even if the production values were pretty much non-existent. But the real deal on the day was a professional video shoot by Nissan to allow a bit more Juke-R fairy dust to be sprinkled round the Interwebs with a slick and polished race story video, with Gran Turismo gamer Lucus Ordonez pitting the Nissan Juke-R against Salah Salahuddin’s supercar collection - which they’ve finally got round to editing.
Tesla Model S Performance is the quickest electric car…in the world
Tue, 29 Jan 2013A Tesla Model S Performance has set a world record as the fastest production electric car with a 1/4 mile run of just 12.371 seconds. Yes, we still believe – certainly with the current and prospective battery technology – that the only real use an electric car has is as a small urban runaround or a local deliver vehicle. But that doesn’t stop us being impressed by the Tesla Model S.
Fioravanti Thalia concept
Fri, 23 Feb 2007Fioravanti will be represented at the Geneva Motor Show by this, the Thalia, named after one of the three Graces of Greek mythology. The rear hump means a staggered silhouette, reflecting the rear seating which has been elevated to accommodate 'the most recent alternative energy technology.' Along with its unusual architecture, the sketch also shows a unique graphic break, with the dominant sweep and rear-biased mass reminding a little of the Mazda Senku concept. It will be interesting to see the model in Geneva.
