The Alpina B4 BiTurbo (pictured) debuts at Goodwood 2014 We’ve already had the arrival of the BMW 4-Series Coupe and Convertible – the replacement for the old 3-Series Coupe and Convertible – so logically the next step is an Alpina version. And here it is. The Alpina B4 Biturbo is based on the latest 4-Series and gets the N55 BMW straight six from the 435i but tweaked and fettled by Alpina to deliver 404bhp and 442lb/ft of torque.

Michelin Challenge Design - Deadline for entries April 16

You Can Design America's Next Iconic Vehicle Michelin Challenge Design - the global transportation design competition in its ninth year - is looking for America's next iconic vehicle.  Submissions for the 2009 program will be accepted through April 16, 2008. The winning designs will be evaluated for their uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution by a jury of automotive design professionals and receive prominent display in the MCD exhibit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. BBC 5 Live Investigates has reported that unwitting used car buyers are being chased for large sums of money, owed on loans taken out by previous owners. Leading vehicle information expert HPI has warned consumers to be vigilant on the risks of finance fraud and get protection with the HPI Check. The report suggested that car owners raising finance with logbook loans secured on their vehicles are selling the vehicles before settling their accounts, which is leaving buyers at risk of losing their cash - and the car.
