Dyna: H-D Rigid or Detachable Side Plates on all ’06-’12 Dynas (except ’08-’12 FXDF, ‘09-’10 FXDFSE, '10-'12 FXDWG)
Sportster: H-D Detachable Side Plates on all ’04-’12 Sportsters
Universal: Most applications that accept a standard H-D style backrest with 8-3/4” wide mounting position. The mounting holes are 1-1/4” center to center with 1/4” -20 tapped threads. The new Mercedes-Benz SLK, due out next spring, will be the automaker's first vehicle with on-board Internet access via its Command infotainment platform, AutoWeek sister publication Automobilwoche has learned from company sources. The updated Mercedes C class also is expected to offer Web-browsing capability when it arrives shortly after the SLK debuts. "We will then offer our own online services as well," a top executive told Automobilwoche.

Land Rover builds 1,000,000th Discovery

The 1,000,000th Land Rover Discovery has rolled off the line at the company's Solihull plant in West Midlands in the United Kingdom. To celebrate the milestone, Land Rover is sending the SUV on an 8,000-mile, 13-country “Journey of Discovery” from Birmingham to Beijing for the motor show on April 23. The company did the same thing in 1955 when the first Series 1 rolled off the line.
