The big news for the A7 range was the arrival of Audi’s frugal 3.0 litre TDI ultra, a FWD 215bhp turbo diesel offering headline economy of 60.1mpg, and the arrival of a new S Tronic auto ‘box to replace the woeful Multitronic CVT. The CitiJet is the madcap brainchild of 16 budding Skoda designers, who were tasked with creating their ideal car out of an existing Skoda model. Effectively, a Citigo Sport has been turned into an open-top city slicker, but don’t ask how the roof closes because there isn’t one.
